Scaling Integrated, Effective and Sustainable Services for the Prevention of Mother to Child HIV Transmission (PMTCT) in the Republic of Uganda under PEPFAR

 

1)Provide, through the Government of Uganda district systems, comprehensive PMTCT services throughout the antenatal, maternity, postnatal and infant periods, including HIV screening, diagnosis, staging and ART prophylaxis for HIV-infected pregnant women and their newborn infants and Highly Active Anti-retrovial Therapy (HAART) initiation for those eligible for treatment, and 2)Strengthen linkages and coordination between PMTCT and reproductive health at the national and local levels.
