Rapid Hypersonic Trajectory Planning to Support High Speed System Design

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division is interested in receiving proposals for research maturation of applied optimization theory within an integrated hypersonic trajectory and vehicle design tool to support the long term development of high speed strike systems for the Navy. This tool would enable a wide range of analyses including optimal performance under nominal conditions, robust path-planning across a wide range of dispersions, and vehicle-level technology trades to support technology development programs. The ability to rapidly characterize vehicle capabilities and identify vehicle limitations that negatively impact mission level goals would provide significant insight into the development of various high speed strategic systems.
