Farm to School State Formula Grant

 

To provide funding for state operated farm to school programs to further strengthen food and agriculture supply chain resiliency in accordance with section 1001(b)(4) of the American Rescue Plan to increase the capacity of institutions participating in child nutrition programs to procure and use local foods in program meals and provide agricultural education opportunities for participating children.

To receive these funds, states will be required to submit a budget to FNS that demonstrates that they will use the funds for their targeted purposes to strengthen and expand farm to school implementation.
Award Procedure
Awards will be distributed to states through a grant agreement. Budgets will be reviewed by grants administration and farm to school program staff. All NSLP states will receive their formula based funding.
