DoD Alcohol and Substance Abuse Consortium Award

The ASARP Consortium Award will support the establishment of a Consortium that includes collaborations of multiple organizations and individuals for the purpose of identifying promising compounds with the goal of translating basic science knowledge into enhanced clinical pharmacological treatment protocols for ASUD. The Consortium will ultimately consist of a single Management Core as well as basic research and clinical trial sites. The participants will be jointly responsible for prioritizing, proposing, conducting and analyzing proof-of-principle basic research and proof-of-principle human clinical trials and developing a roadmap to translate promising basic science knowledge into enhanced clinical pharmacological treatment protocols for ASUD, including a regulatory strategy for FDA compliance.
