Charles River Natural Valley Storage Project Boundary Maintenance Program

 

The US Army Corps of Engineers, New England District (USACE-NAE) intends to enter into a sole source cooperative agreement with the Student Conservation Association (SCA) for the conservation and protection of the Charles River Natural Valley Storage Area of 8500 acres of protected wetlands and floodplain. Two one year SCA GIS interns will locate Corps boundary and easement lines and property markers (using GPS Trimble Geo XT); gather data and enter into database for export into Arc View GIS version 10; scan and geo-reference survey related documents; create maps using raster data sets and shape files, provide contractor with complete data package for boundary maintenance work; assist with additional GIS and mapping assignments as needed. You will also assist in marking property lines with signs, flagging, and paint where needed. This agreement is entered into pursuant to 33 USC 2339(a) - Assistance Programs.
