Youth Fellows Internship Program Intent to Award

 

To develop the Groundwork USA Project Youth Fellows Internships Program. To develop opportunities to engage youth from diverse backgrounds in internships with Groundwork Trust organizations to assist with community led conservation, recreation and environmental restoration projects and participate in service learning opportunities with the National Park Service. To support the development of projects and programs in recently established Groundwork Trust organizations that address the NPS Call to Action goals of engaging youth with conservation and recreation, improving community connections to local National Parks, improving access to parks and conserved natural resources in undeserved communities and promoting parks and outdoor recreation for improving the health of undeserved communities.
