This agreement is being implemented in order to provide funding for the initial management of a newly created conservation area. The objective is to install a protective fence which will restrict invasion by non-native mammals and allow for effective management for native species habitat. This project will benefit the public by restoring and protecting public trust resources, including federally threatened and endangered species, their habitat, and the primary water resources for the island of Maui.
