NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD FY12 PROJECTS: This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park ServiceÂ’s (NPS) intention to fund various research in Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway (SACN), Mississippi National River and Recreation Area (MISS) and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (APIS). The purpose of this agreement is food web analyses; native mussel protection; determine health advisories; confirm invasive zooplankton and associated research in Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway (SACN), Mississippi National River and Recreation Area (MISS) and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (APIS). The recipient will test food web hypothesis, identify habitats that support reproduction and growth if invasive carp species, determine sensitivity of native endangered and threatened mussels, and various other research. The National Park Service will be substantially involved in fulfilling the tasks and objectives of the project.
