USAID's/Bangladesh Counter Trafficking-in-person (BC/TIP) program

 

USAID/Bangladesh is seeking assistance to combat human trafficking in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Counter Trafficking-in-Persons (USAID’s BC/TIP), a five-year (2014-2019) activity, will reduce the prevalence of human trafficking and increase the protection of civil and human rights that will eventually improve access to justice by preventing and reducing the risk of trafficking, protecting trafficking survivors, prosecuting trafficking offenders and coordinating effective partnerships among stakeholders. The USAID’s BC/TIP activity is comprised of four inter-related objectives: Objective 1: Prevention - Strengthened capacity of communities to identify trafficking incidents/victims and to take action Objective 2: Protection - Improved access of trafficking victims to assistance Objective 3: Prosecution- Increased responsiveness of criminal justice actors Objective 4: Partnership – Coordinated and effective partnerships of stakeholders to combat human trafficking
