USAID?s Workers? Empowerment Program (USAID?s WEP)

 

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bangladesh is seeking applications to improve labor conditions in the ready-made garment industry though a three-year cooperative agreement with an estimated value not to exceed $5 million. The Worker’s Empowerment Program (WEP) has two distinct components: Component 1 – Improving Representation in the Work Place and Component 2 – Promoting Rights and Interests in Targeted Garment Communities which will contribute to USAID/Bangladesh’s goal to improve labor conditions and strengthen independent worker organizations in Bangladesh's ready-made garment sector.
