The goal of this listing is to support agreements with organizations, institutions, or individuals throughout the world to conduct activities related to the sanitary and phytosanitary standard-setting activities of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC), including international outreach and education, in order to promote and support the development of a viable and sustainable global agricultural system; antihunger and improved international nutrition efforts; and increased quantity, quality, and availability of food.

How may assistance be used?
Funds may be used by the FAO and WHO to contribute to supporting participation of experts in joint expert Codex Committees, consultations, and other similar activities, as well as to support several specific projects that require funding to provide necessary advice to Codex Committees. Funds may also be used to support capacity building activities to strengthen the performance of Codex Contact Points (CCPs), National Codex Committees, and Regional and Sub-Regional Coordinating Organizations and to organize Codex colloquia and support participation of national experts in Codex activities.

Length and Time Phasing of Assistance
