Underground Railroad Conference Planning

 

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD FY12 PROJECT: This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park ServiceÂ’s (NPS) intention to fund The Association for the Study of African Life and HistoryÂ’s Underground Railroad Conference. The purpose of this agreement is to plan the Underground Railroad Conference. The recipient will participate on the program committee, publicize the call for proposals among their membership, and proceed input to the development of conference related events and tours of historic sites. The recipient will also provide professional conference management support to the NPS staff and for the 2013 National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Conference. The National Park Service will be substantially involved in fulfilling the tasks and objectives of the project.
