U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, TX Coastal Ecological Services Field Office has had this unique internship opportunities for University students pursing degrees in wildlife resources and allows Service personnel to participate as adjunct professors in continuing University undergraduate and graduate education programs. With this agreement US Fish and Wildlife Service has been allowed to maintain their office in the Classroom West wing for approximately 32 years. With this agreement and the cooperation of the two parties establishing a collocated Service Office at the University. The collocation of the Service office provides University students the opportunity to interact with Service personnel (Biologist, Botanist, etc) during school hours, provides University students the opportunity to see theoretical applications used in practical situations, provides potential Service employment opportunities for graduate students of the University and enables the parties to efficiently work together on going projects of mutual interest.
