Restoration of Lamprey Passage

 

This agreement is being implemented in order to provide funding to restore passage for all species of lamprey at existing barriers in the Umatilla and Walla Walla River basins in Oregon. The objective is to allow for work to be conducted at any waterway in the basins containing one or more lamprey species, thus assuting a comprehensive, flexible, and strategic approach to lamprey passage. This project will benefit the public by helping to recover an imperiled that is a component of native fish communities throughout Oregon. Working in partnership with CUTIR and others will promote a stragety of action which will conserve lamprey for the continuing benefit of the American people.
