Provision of Technical Assistance and Training Activities to Assure Comprehensive Cancer Control Outcomes.

 

The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement is to fund up to two national organizations with proven capacities and expertise in chronic disease prevention and health promotion to provide technical assistance and training to National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program awardees and their coalitions to implement evidence-based and promising comprehensive cancer control interventions in the areas of primary prevention, screening and survivorship.

This program is authorized under sections 201(a), 317(k)(2) of the Public Health Service Act, [42 U.S.C. 241(a) and 247b(k)(2), as amended., U.S.C. 241(a) and 247(k)(2) as amended Eligible applicants: National 501(c) 3 organizations; Public Non-for profits National 501(c)3 organizations comprised of affiliates or chapters at state and/or local levels or universities with national reach who have the capacity ot provide technical assistance and training to all funded grantees of the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program. Federal, State, Local Not applicable. Preapplication coordination is not applicable. This program is excluded from coverage under 2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Successful applicants will receive a Notice of Award (NoA) from the CDC Office of Finanical Resources (OFR). The NoA shall be the only binding, authorizing document between the recipient and CDC. The NoA will be signed by an authorized Grants Management Officer and sent to the Principal Investigator through the Grants Solution system. There is a 5-year records retention requirement; records shall be retained beyond the 5-year project period if final audit has not been done, or findings resolved.
