Notice of Intent - Investigation of the Glacial and Alluvial Stratigraphy in the Lower Wisconsin River Valley and Glacial Mapping of Oneida County

 

Notice of Intent to award a cooperative agreement to Western Michigan University (Michigan Geological Survey to core the Quaternary sediments in the lower Wisconsin River valley to provide the means to evaluate the sedimentary architecture and 3D relationships of the valley fill sediments. Mapping of Oneida county is crutial in developing a better understanding of ice-marginal process and the role of permafrost in late-glacial landscape development.
