National Public Lands Day

 

To promote environmental education and volunteer opportunities by sharing resources, expertise, and support. In regards to the BLM Volunteer Program, this is done through the development and dissemination of materials for National Public Lands Day (NPLD), a national, interagency volunteer program coordinated by The National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF). Additionally, NEEF works with BLM for the purpose of coordinating the production and dissemination of environmental education materials and programs. The public benefits from opportunities to: contribute to improvement of the nationÂ’s natural/cultural resources; interact with natural/cultural resource professionals; pursue healthy outdoor activities; and learn about natural/cultural resources and stewardship ethics
