Hylaeus bee nest site enhancement

This agreement is being implemented in order to attempt to increase severely declining populations of yellow-faced bees (Hylaeus sp) in coastal strand habitat on Oahu. The objective is to augment and improve existing habitat for rare yellow-faced bees, by providing artificial nest substrate in locations where populations of Hylaeus persist in high priority, relatively intact coastal strand habitat. This project will benefit the public by providing technical and financial assistance to partners to identify, protect, and restore or improve habitats in priority coastal areas for fish and wildlife for the continuing benefit of the American people.
