Hazardous Fuels Reducation with Point Reyes NS & Golden Gate NRA

United State Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) Notice of Intent to Award. This is not a request for applications. This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition to Marin County Fire Department (MCFD), to collaboratively work with the NPS and continue the long term partnership that promotes wildland fuels reduction, outreach, and education. The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership, cost-sharing ability if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications. Additionally, MCFD is a long-term key partner in wildland fire fuels reduction. They are a local cooperating agency that does not have any special housing or camping needs compared, and are local and familiar with all Park policies and regulations. In addition, the education as well as the interagency and public cooperative management opportunities makes a cooperative arrangement with MCFD mutually beneficial for both the MCFD and the NPS.
