Grand Canyon Adaptive Management Program Tribal Participation

 

The Adaptive Management Program (AMP) for Glen Canyon Dam requires tribal monitoring in order to preserve, protect, manage and treat cultural resources. This proposal responds to the following four Management Objectives:  Preserve resource integrity and cultural values of traditionally important resources within the Colorado River Ecosystem.  Protect and maintain physical access to traditional cultural resources.  Attain and maintain effective tribal consultation to ensure inclusion of tribal values and perspectives into the AMP.  Attain and maintain tribal participation in the AMP research and long-term monitoring activities.
