Empirical Research on Ethical Issues Related to Central IRBs and Consent for Research Using Clinical Records and Data (R01)

 

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage Research Project Grant (R01) applications to explore two timely issues of significance for policy development relevant to: 1) the principles and characteristics for central Institutional Review Boards (IRBs); and 2) consent and participant preferences for research using clinical records and data.
