The United States Agency for International Development in Senegal (USAID/Senegal) will support the implementation of the Election and Political Process Reform (EPPR) program for a period of 18 months and an amount of $1.6 million to help enhance the capacity of the Senegalese National Assembly (NA) and Civil Society to effectively contribute to and support critical reforms aimed at strengthening the countryÂ’s democratic institutions and processes. The program has two interrelated components that can be implemented together within a consortium arrangement or separately: a) legislative assistance, with special focus on women legislators; and b) citizen engagement and input into reform processes. Program activities are expected to have impact at both the national and sub-national levels due the nature of interventions that are foreseen as well as the types of target beneficiaries
