Developing and Assisting the Protected Areas Database of the Unied States (PAD-US)

This project will coordinate protected areas mapping activities of the USGS Gap Analysis Program (GAP) and the West Virginia GIS Technical Center (WVGISTC). GAP is encouraging states to work collaboratively with them in the collection of spatial data that represent public land holdings for their states. WVGISTC is aggregating protected areas data for the state and this project will translate protected areas data for West Virginia into a file geodatabase that updates PAD-US.
