Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, North Atlantic Coast CESU

The U.S. Geological Survey¿s Core Science Analytics and Synthesis (CSAS) Program is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for technical assistance and expertise in furthering USGS institutional and project coordination, results reporting and cross-program collaboration. The purpose of this effort is to research possible methodologies in end-to-end data facility provision for Earth science. One of the primary roles of the USGS as a government data agency is the provision of high quality, timely, and long term data characterizing the Nation¿s natural resources. These data include both digital and physical holdings and the metadata that describe them to facilitate discovery, access, and use. Most effective management of these resources from science project inception to completion and archival of produced data is of keen interest to the USGS.
