Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Gulf Coast CESU

The National Wetlands Research Center (NWRC) of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research that advances the development of interferometric and polarimetic radar remote sensing techniques and their integration with optical remote sensing data for mapping and monitoring coastal ecosystems, particularly in response to man-made and natural disasters. Although this research is to focus on the northern Gulf of Mexico, the expected technology advances will have direct implications to global remote sensing of coastal resources.
