Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Great Plains CESU

 

The Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center (PIERC) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to obtain estimates of movement patterns of Hawaii¿s forest birds based on analysis of stable isotope signatures from 1440 collected tissue samples. For each sample of tissue provided, need estimates of carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen stable isotope ratios, and assistance in the interpretation of the results. Successful applicant is expected to work closely with USGS personnel to collaboratively satisfy these objectives.
