Selected recipients will be contacted by regional personnel regarding submission of proposal/application packages.
Award Procedure
Selected recipients will submit their proposal/application packages which will be reviewed for completeness. If sufficient, the grant will be awarded. If clarification/edits are necessary the recipient will be contacted by the Forest Service program manager.

Approval/Disapproval Decision Time
From 30 to 60 days.

Renewals
From 30 to 60 days. Requests for extension must be received more than 30 days prior to expiration of the grant. The total grant period may not be more than 5 years.

How may assistance be used?
Assistance may be used to complete the project selected by Congress and in the approved application. Funds may only be used to accomplish the project selected by Congress.
What are the requirements after being awarded this opportunity?
Reporting
Performance Reports: Performance reports are required for this program, at least annually and no more than quarterly. The reporting period information will be in the award.
Auditing
In accordance with the provisions of 2 CFR 200, Subpart F - Audit Requirements, nonfederal entities that expend financial assistance of $750,000 or more in Federal awards will have a single or a program-specific audit conducted for that year. Non-Federal entities that expend less than $750,000 a year in Federal awards are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year, except as noted in 2 CFR 200.503

Length and Time Phasing of Assistance

Method of awarding/releasing assistance: Funding will be released on receipt of requests for reimbursement (SF-270) or requests for advance for up to 30 days of anticipated expenses (SF-270). All reporting must be current.
