Building the Capacity of the Afghan Ministry of Counter Narcotics

 

The main objective of the MCN Capacity Building Project is to increase the MCNâ₏™s ability to develop and manage effective counternarcotics policies and programs, as measured by an organizational capacity assessment developed at baseline under this project. The four sub-objectives of the MCN Capacity Building Project include: 1. Strengthen support functions in MCNâ₏™s directorates of Finance and Administration and Human Resources. 2. Increase the capacity of the MCN to identify, develop, and submit grants application packages and proposals to local and international donors. 3. Increase information technology (IT) skills at the MCN in order to strengthen recordkeeping, accountability, and general efficiency, across directorates. 4. Increase the English language skills of MCN Tashkiel employees to facilitate improved communication with international donors and partners.
