Building an Integrated Data Harvester and Analysis Software for the Methow Basin with Future Linkages to Columbia River Basin Data Management Project

The project will integrate data and analysis procedures to assist biologists, statisticians and modelers. The software framework will synthesize existing databases, environmental data (stream flow, temperature, channel dimensions), and stream community data (species data). These data sources will be linked spatially and temporally by the data harvester tool (called Hatch ¿ www.datahatch.org). Standardized analyses will be coded into the data analysis tool. Linked data sources and standardized data analysis tools will help researchers and managers better search and access information to understand key components of the system. In addition, the modeling framework and coded toolset will help to identify data gaps and provide strategies for improved monitoring efforts.
