BLM OR/WA (WO) - COMPREHENSIVE TRAILS EDUCATION, DATA AND INFORMATION

 

Background: Bureau of Land Management (BLM)-managed lands include hundreds of miles of public trails. In order to enhance the public's recreation opportunities, the BLM is announcing the availability of financial assistance in support of entities offering comprehensive trails education, data, and information to the recreating public and trails professionals. Objectives: To encourage cooperative management and responsible use of diverse trail resources through education, data, and information. Public Benefit: The public will benefit from this support by having easy to access, current and accurate information on trails, trail issues, and educational opportunities. Access to information increases public use of trails, which leads to a variety of personal, social, community and economic benefits.
