BLM CA Lacks Creek Mountain Bike Trails Arcata Field Office

The BLM Arcata Field Office recreation program has emphasized for many years the need to develop and maintain non-motorized trails for the use and enjoyment of local residents as well as the thousands of tourists who visit Humboldt County. In 2008, the BLM completed the Lacks Creek Management Plan which identified a large non-motorized trail system including 10 miles of mountain bike trail, but actual development and maintenance has been lacking due to continued budget cuts.
