These projects would be a continuation of current projects in place on agreement L10AC20386 CESU Humboldt State University which expires September 30, 2014. These projects involve assisting the BLM with long-term adaptive management and ongoing planning in the Arcata Field Office by continuing the internship program for young people to learn about but not limited to: studying forest, woodland ecosystems, watersheds, evaluating existing management actions, providing management guidelines for future actions, inventory, monitoring, evaluation, vegetation surveys, reforestation, forest development surveys, field plots for determining forest conditions, treatments, prescriptions for forest management and restoration.
