BLM CA CESU Central California Botanical Projects

 

a) expand a partnership with a Center for Plant Conservation botanic garden in Central California; b) work towards collecting germplasm from all keystone species in the area following the Seeds of Success protocol; c) develop and implement monitoring plans for target species; d) develop restoration plans for species and habitats; e) propagate species for restoration, seed bulking for conservation, and educational purposes; f) assist in developing conservation management plans for rare species; g) conduct general floristic inventories, with vouchered plant specimens curated in perpetuity; h) conduct population and conservation genetics studies for targeted rare plant species; and i) conduct demographic and other life history studies of target plant species.
