BLM AK Cultural Resources Inform Data-Sharing

 

This would be a continuation of current agreement L09AC15336 that is in place and will expire on September 30, 2014. This project was started with the State of Alaska¿s Office of History and Archaeology (OHA), in 1998, as related to the BLM¿s National Programmatic Agreement for Section 106 Compliance originally signed in 1997 and revised in 2012. It calls for the BLM to help provide funding to respective State Offices of History and Archaeology in the 12 western states to help with maintaining and enhancing each states inventory of archaeological sites, with an emphasis on those on BLM land, as well as cooperation for other mutual projects related to the preservation and use of cultural resources
