Beaver Creek Rock Weirs Modification

This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the Bureau of ReclamationÂ’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition. In 2009, the Methow Salmon Recovery Foundation (MSRF) and Reclamation entered into a Cooperative Agreement whereby MSRF would act as a Project Sponsor to identify, secure funding for, collaborate with and assist Reclamation in implementing prioritized projects within the Upper Columbia Region, Methow Subbasin (Subbasin) to restore fish passage and enhance fish habitat. It is the intent of Reclamation to enter into a new Cooperative Agreement with MSRF whereby MSRF will act as Project Sponsor to re-construct the Forth Thurlow, Thurlow Transfer, and Marracci wiers, located in Beaver Creek. Reconstruction of these three weirs will restore passage for threatened and endangered salmon and steelhead, and address adverse effects associated with on-going in-river maintenance and operational activities.
