Alumni University

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad invites eligible organizations to submit proposals to develop and implement the 2013-2014 Alumni University program. This program provides opportunities for past participants of U.S. Embassy sponsored exchange programs to take part in two-day training seminars in key areas identified by the alumni and the U.S. Embassy. Alumni University courses could include: Resume Writing and Interview Skills; How to Apply to Study Abroad; How to Write a Grant Proposal; Basic Leadership Skills; Debate and Public Speaking; Civic Engagement; and How to Develop Awareness Campaigns. The courses should be offered multiple times in Baghdad and Erbil and possibly elsewhere, and each should have a maximum of 20 students. Participants will receive certificates after the successful completion of each two-day course. Previous versions of Alumni University have served approximately 1000 past participants of U.S. Embassy sponsored programs.
