Administrative History: Adams National Historical Park

The purpose of this study is to document the establishment and management of Adams National Historical Park (1979-2015) and to place it within the larger contexts of public park land management and historic preservation inside the national park system, as well as of historic house museum management in greater New England. This study will serve an ongoing guide to park management about the history of park issues over time and how these have changed depending on the context of the time.
