Monitoring the Status of Bull Trout Influenced by the Willamette Valley Project

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) intends to enter into a sole source cooperative agreement with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) for activities that will contribute to the recovery and minimize the incidental take of populations of endangered bull trout on USACE lands and influenced by the operation of Corps dams in the Willamette Basin, Oregon. Implementation of the Willamette Project Biological Opinion for bull trout in the upper Willamette River basin will include comprehensive research, monitoring, and evaluation of bull trout above and below USACE dams and habitat suitability assessments in Middle Fork Willamette River tributaries below Hills Creek Dam. This agreement is awarded pursuant to Appendix J, Willamette River Basin, of House Document 531, 81st Congress, 2nd Session. Work under this agreement will be performed on USACE lands and waters in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.
