FY 2013 Methane Hydrates

 

The objective of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to fund research that advances the current state of knowledge or technology with respect to methane hydrate science focusing on characterization of gas hydrate deposits, response of methane hydrate systems to natural environmental change, and response of gas hydrate reservoirs to induced environmental change to determine the potential of methane hydrates as a potential energy resource and their role in the natural environment.

All Entities excluding Federal Agencies, FFRDC and Non Profit. All types of entities are eligible to apply, except other Federal agencies, Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Contractors, and nonprofit organizations described in section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 that engaged in lobbying activities after December 31, 1995. NOTE: The National Energy Technology Laboratory is not considered eligible for award as a prime recipient under this announcement and may not be proposed as a sub-recipient on another entity's application.
