Demonstration Project to Enhance Medical Review Practices

 

Funding a number of projects up to three years from the effective date of award for a total of $800,000. Current available funding is $400,000. Maximum of two (2) awards will be given depending on the proposed projects submitted for consideration.

Who is eligible to apply/benefit from this assistance?
Applicant Eligibility
State governments and their agencies may submit applications. To be eligible to participate in this cooperative agreement, applicants must meet the following special competencies: 1. Demonstrate expertise in driver licensing and medical review. 2. Demonstrate capability of technical and management skills to successfully administer and complete projects in a timely manner. Include a narrative description of the documented experience, clearly indicating the relationship to this project and providing details such as project description and sponsoring agency. References to completed final project reports should include authorÂ’s name. 3. Demonstrate ability to arrange for a comprehensive independent evaluation of the project. 4. Demonstrate management support through a letter from the DMV Administrator, as well as assurances of support from the management chain
