This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is issued to announce the availability of cooperative agreements to be awarded under Limited Competition. The goal of the FDA/Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) Cooperative Agreement Program is to facilitate long-term improvements to the national food safety system by building the capacity of food safety entities to take appropriate action, including planning and otherwise preparing to take such action, to protect the public health in response to a notification under section 1008 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, or a recall of food under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
